Google Search Ranking Volatility on August 9th and 10th (No Progress in HCU)
Since Friday, August 9th, there has been a notable surge in Google Search ranking volatility. This observation is supported by SEO community discussions and third-party rank volatility trackers.
Currently, there has been no official announcement from Google regarding a new core update, though one is anticipated in the coming weeks.
To recap, significant volatility was reported on August 6th, following notable fluctuations around July 31st. The previous weeks have seen heightened volatility, with major shifts also observed on July 23rd, July 18th, and July 9th.
Over the past weekend, I noticed substantial movement in Google Search rankings once again. This could indicate that Google is testing the upcoming core update. However, there is no evidence yet of any positive impact from the September 2023 helpful content update on those affected.
