Google Search Volatility Remains High Following Completion of August Core Update Rollout
It feels like the Google August 2024 core update either hasn't fully settled or something else is happening. Despite Google announcing the rollout’s completion, I’m still seeing strong signals of significant search ranking volatility in the results. SEO tools remain active, and there's still plenty of buzz within the SEO community.
While Google may have stated the update is done, it could be that we're seeing the aftereffects of the final stages of the rollout. Alternatively, this might even be an unconfirmed update. It’s difficult to pinpoint, but what’s clear is that many site owners and SEOs are still experiencing considerable fluctuations and shifts in the Google Search results.
Interestingly, this volatility seems to have either begun or continued right after Google declared the rollout complete. The fluctuations have persisted from September 3rd through today, September 6th.
